ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR GEORGIA

Valid passports are required for visitors of all nationalities. Georgia has a liberal visa regime; with visa waiver for the citizens of 94 countries for short-term visits (Not exceeding 90 calendar days in any 180-day period). Certain international travelers may be eligible to travel to Georgia without a visa if they meet the requirements for visa-free travel. It is preferable to carefully read the information provided below:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has launched e-Visa portal allowing short-term visitors to get a visa in effortless way. Prospective travelers have a possibility to obtain the short-term visa without visiting Georgian Embassy or Consular Office, following three simple steps: applying, making online payment and printing out ready e-Visa. https://www.evisa.gov.ge/GeoVisa/

 

INSURANCE

During their stay in Georgia, participants are not insured either by CIECA or the SA. Participants are responsible for arranging their own health, accident and liability insurance. CIECA and the SA will accept no responsibility for this.

 

CURRENCY

The currency in Georgia is Georgian Lari. Other currency is not accepted. Foreign currency can be exchanged at the airport, in the lobby of the hotel Radisson Blu, or in any bank in the city and at a bureau de change. Credit cards such as Visa and MasterCard are accepted in most restaurants and shops.

 

TIPS

Tip is normally included. However, it is still a welcome gesture to round up the bill or leave a little extra.

Electrical current 220 Volts, 50 Hz. Standard “Euro” plug (type C+F).
You can use your el. appliances in Georgia if the standard voltage in your country is 220-240 V.
